Poroshenko congratulates Tusk on re-election as EU Council president

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Donald Tusk on his re-election as the European Council President.

He wrote this on Twitter.

"I cordially congratulate Donald Tusk on his re-election as President of the European Council. The successful future of the united Europe is in good hands," the head of state said.

As reported, on March 9 the European Union leaders re-elected Donald Tusk as the European Council President despite the Poland’s attempt to derail the former Polish prime minister’s bid for a second term.
