German Foreign Minister to visit Kyiv to discuss Germany’s aid for Ukraine

German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel will make a visit to Ukraine this week.

German Foreign Ministry Spokesman Martin Schaefer announced this on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from Germany.

"The Minister will make a visit to Ukraine on March 2-3" the diplomat informed.

German minister intends to discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine and bilateral German-Ukrainian relations.

"During the negotiations with the partners, the minister will seek ways to implement the Minsk agreements," Schaefer said.

In addition, "the minister together with the Ukrainian side will discuss the comprehensive German assistance to Ukraine: at what stage it is now and what has already been done in terms of reforms."
