EU to continue support Ukraine - Federica Mogherini

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini says that the EU will continue support Ukraine by various means.

Mogherini stated this after chairing the monthly meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on February 6, Radio Svoboda reports.

“The EU is willing to accompany and support even more the work of our colleagues in the Normandy format and the work of the OSCE, especially on the ground - we discussed this also with the Austrian Chairmanship-in-Office of the OSCE,” Mogherini said,

At the same time, according to her, for the EU the fight against corruption in Ukraine is a key element for cooperation.

“We focused our discussion on the European Union's support to the reform agenda of the country, in particular the efforts that the Prime Minister [Volodymyr Groysman], the President [Petro Poroshenko] and the government are putting into reforming the country when it comes to the social and economic measures and anti-corruption,” she said.

Mogherini also added that the EU will continue support Ukraine with a special focus on the delivery of services to the population, the service which are aimed at the improvement of living conditions for the people.
