Russian court rejects appeals of three defendants in ‘Hizb ut-Tahrir case’

December 27, the Russia's Supreme Court has rejected appeals of three defendants in the "case of Hizb ut-Tahrir" Ferat Sayfullayev, Rustem Vaitov, and Nuri Primov. The case of the fourth defendant, Ruslan Zeytullayev, was sent for review.

This is reported by Radio Liberty.

As a reminder, in September, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Sevastopol resident Zeytullayev to seven years in a general regime colony. Sayfullayev, Vaitov, and Primov were sentenced to five years in a general regime colony. Four men were arrested in Sevastopol in winter 2015 and charged with participating in Islamic organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir."

“Memorial” human rights organization recognized them as political prisoners.
