President: We will reinforce United Europe of democracy, respect and confidence in future jointly

We must save today’s Europe from populism, indifference, Euroscepticism and egoism.

President Petro Poroshenko said this at "Forum of Leadership" conference in the course of the official visit to Poland, the press service of the Head of State reported.

“We must prove that we are today united by things greater than those that have been dividing us for centuries. The burden of ancient times will not bow our heads. We will look forward and strive for the common goal. And this goal is simple and great: united, strong, democratic and free Europe. United Europe where common border is not a historical curse, but the point of synergy of cultures and economies,” Poroshenko emphasized.

The Head of State noted that Ukraine and Poland would reinforce United Europe of democracy, respect and confidence in the future jointly.

“There is no other way towards peace in Europe than the Christian one: forgive and ask for forgiveness. French and German nations did so in Western Europe. Ukrainians and Poles must do so in Central and Eastern Europe. Not for political goals, but for responsibility,” the President said.
