President Poroshenko: Ukrainians should become main guarantor of independence

Ukrainians should become the main guarantor of their independence, by maintaining the unity and resilience to modern challenges and threats.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko stated this in his address dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the All-Ukrainian referendum, the president’s press service reports.

“We should become the main guarantor of our independence, dear Ukrainians, by maintaining the unity and resilience to the current challenges and threats,” President Poroshenko stressed.

According to the president, at present the whole civilized world is fully aware of the vital importance of the existence of a large European state, Ukraine, within its internationally recognized borders – as a guarantee of stability and the rule of law in international relations and peace on the European continent.
