Poland, United Kingdom support extension of sanctions against Russia

The sanctions against Russia should be extended until complete fulfillment of the Minsk agreements. In addition, Moscow should stop bombing of the civilian population in Syria.

Polish PM Beata Szydlo and British PM Theresa May said this following the British-Polish intergovernmental consultations in London, Gazetaprawna informs.

"We discussed the importance of cooperation between our countries in the issue of Ukraine and the Minsk agreement. We agreed and that the sanctions [against Russia] should be extended until complete fulfillment of the Minsk agreements," Theresa May said.

According to her, Russia is stepping up its activity and, therefore, it is necessary to cooperate in the issue of Russia.

In turn, Polish PM Beata Szydlo stressed that Poland unequivocally supported the position of the United Kingdom on extension of sanctions against Russia.
