Parliament gives government 10 more days for draft 2017 national budget

The Verkhovna Rada has given 10 more days to the Cabinet of Ministers to prepare the draft 2017 national budget for the second reading.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said this at today’s parliamentary sitting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I didn’t sign a resolution on approving the national budget in first reading [as there were clauses on raising MPs salaries]. I signed it after all chairmen of factions had signed the amendments. Now the government is calling on us to postpone the terms for submitting the budget, as they were not able to work on it [the budget] for 10 days,” Parubiy said.
