Prime Minister of Norway urges Russia to fulfill Minsk agreements

Russia must fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements and facilitate the peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg said this at the joint press conference with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Oslo, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine, and we are concerned about the lack of security in Donbas. It is difficult to imagine the negotiation process of political settlement without stable truce. The decisive factor is observance of the Minsk agreements by all parties. We urge, in particular, Russia to fulfill its part of the agreements and to facilitate political and peaceful settlement," the Norwegian Prime Minister said.

Solberg assured of "Norway’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders."

"I have also confirmed that Norway will continue to support Ukraine in implementing reforms and will contribute to the economic and political stability of the country," the Head of the Government of Norway stressed.
