Poroshenko, Biden discuss situation in Donbas and implementation of Minsk agreement

President Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with Vice-President of the United States Joseph Biden during participation at the 71st session UN General Assembly. 

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties discussed the situation in Donbas and implementation of Minsk agreement.

Petro Poroshenko thanked the United States for strengthening sanctions against Russia. The sides agreed to intensify diplomatic efforts to end the Russian aggression against Ukraine. 

President Poroshenko also emphasized on importance of the IMF decision on the third tranche and on his commitment to continue reforms. 

Vice-President Biden informed that the US are ready to provide Ukraine with a billion US dollars in loan guarantees, since Ukraine has fulfilled necessary conditions.
