Poland plans to issue over one million visas for Ukrainians

Consular establishments of Poland in Ukraine plan to issue over one million visas for Ukrainian citizens.

Foreign Minister of Poland Witold Waszczykowski stated this in an article “Open doors for Ukraine”, published in the Polish Rzeczpospolita before his visit to Ukraine.

“This year we expect to exceed the threshold of one million issued visas [for Ukrainians],” Waszczykowski wrote.

He also stressed that Warsaw supports the introduction of a visa-free regime for Ukraine as soon as possible.

“We believe that Ukrainians deserve the adoption of such a historical decision, which will be another important step facilitating interpersonal contacts in Europe and promoting common values,” the Polish foreign minister said.
