Heads of foreign states congratulate President and Ukrainian people on Independence Day

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko keeps receiving congratulations from the leaders of foreign states on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

"The leaders wish Ukrainian people and the state peace, prosperity and well-being, expressing hope for further development of bilateral relations between the two countries based on mutual understanding and respect," the statement says.

In particular, President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic wished Ukraine prosperity, security and stability, noting Croatia's full support for territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state. She also expressed hope for the development of bilateral cooperation between the states.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed in his congratulation that Ukraine is a traditionally friendly partner in the co-operation with China.

Congratulations on the national holiday have also come from the presidents of Bulgaria, Slovakia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Turkey, Uzbekistan.
