OSCE Representative in Trilateral Contact Group sees progress in Minsk negotiations

A certain progress towards restoration of railways in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine has been reached at the next round of the Minsk peace talks.

Martin Sajdik, the OSCE Special Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, said this to reporters, BELTA news agency reports.

He explained that participants in the economic working group again had thoroughly discussed the problems of restoration of the railway infrastructure: "The issues of restoration of railways management system and payment of salaries to railway personnel are being solved positively, though slowly."

He added that restoration of power lines and water supply system had also been discussed.

The humanitarian subgroup touched upon the release of captives and the problem of missing persons.
