Lawyer Feygin: Russia could trigger large-scale disobedience actions of Crimean Tatars

The Kremlin could face a large-scale campaign of civil disobedience in Crimea.

Russian lawyer Mark Feygin posted this on his Twitter page.

"If the Kremlin does not stop criminal prosecution of the Tatars, it could face a large-scale campaign of civil disobedience in Crimea," Feygin wrote.

The lawyer of Nadiya Savchenko believes that the first step to prevent possible acts of disobedience should be closure of criminal cases against Ilmi Umerov and closure of so-called "case of February 26."

"To create at least a semblance of the dialogue with the Crimean Tatars, the Kremlin should immediately stop repressions against civil activists and their organizations," he noted.
