Poroshenko thanks European leaders for extending sanctions against Russia

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has thanked the French and German partners, the European Commission President and the leaders of EU Member States for their firm stance on extending sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian President posted this on his Facebook page.

"Extension of sanctions against Russia is directly linked with the process of de-occupation. I want to thank our French and German partners, the European Commission President and the leaders of EU Member States for their clear and principled stance on extending sanctions against Russia. Ukraine is committed to the Minsk agreements and fulfills all the assumed obligations," Poroshenko wrote.

According to him, the process of de-occupation provides for withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian territory, termination of deliveries of arms, ammunition and equipment, ensuring unfettered access of the OSCE SMM throughout the territory, including the uncontrolled area of the Ukrainian-Russian border, release of the hostages, start of a political process.
