EU doesn’t confirm appointment of new EU ambassador to Ukraine

The European Union has not officially confirmed the possible appointment of Italian diplomat Hugues Mingarelli to the post of ambassador to Ukraine, according to European Commission Chief Spokesperson Maja Kocijancic.

"The process rotation of missions' heads is still in progress. We will announce the names only when it is completed,” Kocijancic told Ukrinform’s own correspondent.

Earlier, there have been reports in the media that Italian diplomat Hugues Mingarelli could be appointed to the post of EU Ambassador to Ukraine.
