EP to adopt resolution on Russia’s violation of rights of Crimean Tatars on May 12

The European Parliament will hold the debates and adopt a resolution on violation of the rights of Crimean Tatars by Russia in Crimea.

Ukrainian President’s Commissioner for Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev posted this on Facebook.

"This issue is on the agenda of the next plenary session of the EU’s legislative body which will be held in Strasbourg on May 9-12," he wrote.

Dzhemilev noted that the debates and vote on the resolution on violation of the rights of the Crimean Tatars, democratic standards and the rule of law in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula were scheduled for Thursday, May 12.
