Japan ready to provide assistance to Ukrainian cyber police

Cybersecurity is one of the key areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in Ukrainian police reform.

Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumi said this during the meeting with Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, the Interior Ministry press office reports.

First Deputy Interior Minister of Ukraine Eka Zguladze also attended the talks.

The Japanese diplomat noted that cybersecurity was one of the key areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in the Ukrainian police reform. According to him, Japan supports the activities of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry in establishment and development of the cyber police and is ready to provide financial, consulting and expert assistance.

Shigeki Sumi also stressed that Japan welcomed the formation of new Ukrainian government and was ready to continue cooperation with Ukraine.
