U.S. realizes Savchenko trial is continuation of hybrid war - Valery Chaly

The United States is well aware of Nadiya Savchenko case and other Ukrainian prisoners who have been unlawfully jailed by Russia, and at all levels - both in Administration and in Congress have expressed its strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in hybrid war, which was unleashed by the Kremlin leadership.

Ambassador Valery Chaly made a statement Monday at the opening ceremony for the banner #FreeSavchenko draped on the walls of the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington, D.C., the Ukrinform’s own American correspondent reports.

"Everyone realizes that this is an absolutely unjust and inappropriate trial, it is the continuation of hybrid war which is waged against Ukraine. I remind you that in addition to Nadiya Savchenko, there are many other our fellow citizens who are imprisoned in Russia, and who are also held in the occupied territories," said the Ukrainian diplomat.

He noted that although the verdict of the Russian court in Savchenko’s case is somewhat known in advance, after the verdict is proclaimed this case will not end just because it has gained wide international publicity.
