Rada and European Parliament sign agreement on cooperation

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament have signed an administrative agreement on cooperation.

The ceremony of signing took place at a legislative agency of the European Union on Wednesday in the scope of the “Ukrainian Week, an own Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels reports.

The agreement is aimed at rendering assistance by the European side to the process of reforming the Ukrainian parliament and raising efficiency of its institutional capabilities.

Pat Cox, the head of the European Parliament’s mission to assess the needs of reforms of the Ukrainian Parliament, noted that the agreement of such a kind has been signed for the first time in the history of the EU legislative agency.
