Singer Jamala invited to participate in Prague festival condemning annexation of Crimea

Jamala was invited to participate in the European festival CRIMEANSOS dedicated to condemning the annexation of Crimea and reminding of the Crimean Tatars’ tragedy in Prague, the Czech Republic.

Organizer of the CRIMEANSOS festival Anton Lytvyn wrote on Facebook.

He said the charity forum in Prague will take place under the sign of condemning the annexation of Crimea and reminding Europe of the Crimean Tatars’ tragedy.

According to the forum’s agenda, which is scheduled to be held on March 17-19, a report on the military operation of the Russian troops in Crimea will be made, as well as a lecture about the history of the indigenous people of the peninsula - the Crimean Tatars, stories about the life in the "Russian" Crimea and demonstration of the human rights violations by the occupation authorities.

The festival will feature a speech of the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, historian Hulnara Bekirova and other Crimean representatives.
