NSDC session transcript contains no classified information - Parubiy

A transcript release from NSDC [National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine] meeting on 28 February 2014 is not a violation because it doesn't contain any classified information.

Former NSDC Secretary and now Vice Speaker of Ukraine parliament Andriy Parubiy made a statement, Ukrinform reports.

"I do not see in a problem with that [release]," said Parubiy concerning the necessity to declassify the transcript.

He added that many people speculate too much on the fact of the document publication, but there are no secrets there. "Nothing secret there, the transcript provides in great detail similar to an X-ray throws light on the period of time when we lived," he noted.

He also confirmed that leader of the Batkivhchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko had strongly opposed enacting of martial law in Crimea at that legendary meeting.

Recall that the transcript of NSDC meeting on 28 February 2014 to discuss the response to Russian aggression in Crimea, including the rejection of proposal to enact martial law in Ukraine, was released at the meeting of the committee on national security and defense.
