Smugglers accelerate in Luhansk region again

Smuggling in the Luhansk region of Donbas has started to increase since January.

Luhansk region military and civil administration governor Heorhiy Tuka told a session of roundtable replying to journalists' questions whether the situation with smuggling changed after deadly gunfire at “Andrew’s group”, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past half a year the volume of smuggling is down, but in accordance with my operational data for the last month, it has begun to grow," said Tuka.

He also briefly explained why it began to increase.

"The old roads, which had been blocked earlier, have started to be used again," said Tuka.

The governor didn’t release more details telling that data on smuggling are still being collected.
