Canadian Foreign Minister to pay visit to Ukraine

Canadian Foreign Minister is going to arrive in Ukraine early February to "express continued support for the country."

Minister Stephane Dion said this during the debates in the Parliament.

"My planned visit to Ukraine will take place in four days. I am very happy to go to Ukraine to express continued Canada’s support for Ukraine and to convey how much we disagree with the invasion and interference of the Russian government in Ukraine," Dion said.

This trip will be the first official visit of a member of the Canadian government after the federal elections held in the country in October.
