Romania ready to supply scanners detecting contraband to Ukraine – Moskal

During his visit to Romania Transcarpathian governor Hennady Moskal came to the factory that manufactures scanners to detect contraband hidden in trucks and he said that Romanians are ready to ship this equipment to the Ukrainian border guards.

The official website of the Transcarpathia governor reports.

"It’s impossible to check manually each truck crossing the border. Romanians are ready to sell us their scanners and even show their operation at the border checkpoint "Dyakovo - Halmeu." Preparations have already begun for testing which will be attended by the minister of interior, fiscal agency and the state border service of Ukraine chiefs. And if we acknowledge the effectiveness of equipment, we will sign contracts for its delivery," said Moskal.
