NATO to spend EUR 2.25 mln for rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers

The NATO Trust Fund two-year project worth 2.25 million euros on the medical rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen will be launched in the beginning of the next year.

The NATO Support Agency (NSPA) said this in Kyiv, while informed about a state of three projects of the Alliance Target Funds, the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reports.

"The NATO assistance in the sphere of medical rehabilitation foresees proper medical care for Ukrainian servicemen, as well as the support for the medical rehabilitation systems in Ukraine, the purchase of equipment to provide long-term rehabilitation services to the servicemen of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. The NATO Trust Fund two-year project worth 2.25 million euros will begin in early 2016,” according to the report.

In particular, First Deputy Social Policy Minister Vasyl Shevchenko informed that new equipment would be purchased for Lviv Military Hospital and the National Guard Hospital in the town of Novi Sanzhary. Also, medical establishments in Kharkiv, Kyiv and Irpin will render assistance, Shevchenko added.
