“The work on this package of bills had been carried out for a very long period of time - we had to offer not only one draft law to the public, but system and balanced package of documents, which will provide high-quality, structural changes in the revenue and expenditure parts of the budget. As a result, we agreed with the government and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a package of seven bills, which includes an amended draft budget for 2016, as well as drafts on some important laws that determine changes in the revenue and expenditure parts of the budget,” the minister said.

According Jaresko, submitted amendments to the legislation are aimed at reducing the tax burden in economy, ensuring the financing of all first-priority needs of the state, improving the efficiency and targeting of state spending and the quality of services for citizens, and at the same time, preventing the excess of target budget deficit of 3.7%, and thus, the terms for further cooperation with the IMF will be fulfilled.
