UN Security Council to discuss Ukraine today

The open meeting of the UN Security Council on the Ukraine’s issue is to be held in New York on Friday, December 11.

The UN Security Council plans to discuss the Ukrainian issue "in the broader context." Several speakers are expected to report. The meeting, initiated by the U.S. representatives, will begin at 10:00 local time.

As reported, December 9, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appointed Volodymyr Yelchenko as the new Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations.
