PM Yatsenyuk visits USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier in Italy

On Thursday, December 3, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk will come aboard the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.

The Government portal website reports.

"On Thursday, December 3, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the invitation of the Commander of the U.S. 6th Fleet and the U.S. Commander in Europe, will visit the USS Harry S. Truman nuclear aircraft carrier that will make a stop at the Sigonella NATO naval air base on the Italian coast in the Mediterranean," a statement said.

The Prime Minister will get familiarized with the aircraft carrier capabilities, its operational center and equipment on the vessel. He will interact with the commanding officer of the aircraft carrier Captain Ryan Scholl and the Commander of the aircraft Carrier Strike Group, Rear Admiral Bret Batchelder.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk is also set to visit the Sigonella military base, where the Armed forces of NATO, the U.S. and Italy are based, and meet the Commander of a military base Capt. Christopher Dennis.

The Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak will also participate in the trip.
