EU has no concern about stop of gas flow from Russia to Ukraine

Natural gas supplies over the territory of Ukraine to the European Union are carried out as usual.

Spokesperson of the European Commission Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent in Brussel reports.

“The European Commission has no particular concern about the gas flows from Russia to Ukraine. Gas supplies are carried out as usual,” Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said.

According to her, at present there are about 16.5 billion cubic meters of gas in the underground gas storages of Ukraine, the same level as a year before. Moreover, fuel consumption can be reduced due to weather conditions, the European Commission spokesperson added.
