Motor Sich company confirmed it repaired Putin’s aircraft engines

Representatives of Motor Sich company confirmed the information about repairs of aircraft engines for the Russian president, noting that it had occurred before the sanctions were enforced.

Director of Public Relations of Motor Sich company Anatoly Malysh made a statement, the website of Economic Truth reports. According to him, data stated on the procurement portal of the Russian Federation is true, however, he noted repairs had been made before sanctions became effective on 16 September.

"Look at the dates - they are May and August. This information was released just now for a reason. After President’s decree on sanctions, we haven’t repaired anything," said Malysh.

Meanwhile, according to the website, in October Motor Sich  won the tender for the provision of repair techniques for the Federal State Budget Institution "Krasnoyarsk aircraft rescue center at Emergencies Ministry". Malish said the company does not violate the law.

"The ban applies only to repairing and maintenance of military machinery. The case you are talking about is not the military repairs," noted the director of public relations.
