‘Normandy format’ foreign ministers to meet on November 6

OSCE Special Representative in the Trilateral Contact Group Martin Sajdik said that the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia would meet in Berlin on November 6, the Radio Liberty reports.

"The sub-working group on security issues continued discussing mine clearance and de-escalation outside Shyrokyne. It was very important to discuss those issues before the meeting of the foreign ministers of the “Normandy format” states," Sajdik said on Tuesday following the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on settlement of the situation in Donbas, held in Minsk.

The previous meeting of the "Normandy format" foreign ministers was held in Germany on September 12.

On Tuesday, the Contact Group meeting in Minsk lasted for several hours. The representatives of separatists also took part in discussion. The sides agreed to exchange hostages.

According to Sajdik, the next meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine will be held in Minsk on November 17.
