Center for studies of Russia's problems established in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the decree to establish the center for studies of problems of the Russian Federation at the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

As the President’s press service reports, the center’s tasks include analysis of problematic issues in relations with Russia and elaboration of proposals to ensure the national interests of Ukraine.

According to Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kostiantyn Yeliseyev, the center will focus on research and analysis of actual problems of cooperation with Russia.

"Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, including annexation of Crimea and hybrid warfare in Donbas, disturbing internal processes within the Russian society, the recent actions of Russia in the international arena, the prospects and forecasts for economic development in Russia, the ways of promoting democratic trends in the country, the promotion of interests of Ukrainians in Russia - all these questions require careful professional analysis and will be solved by the center for studies of problems of the Russian Federation," he said.
