Rada plans to legitimate labor migrants

Ukrainian MPs have supported at first reading draft law No.2330a on external labor migration.

The document was submitted to the parliament by the Cabinet of Ministers and is part of draft laws needed for the liberalization of visa regime with the European Union.

A total of 243 MPs voted for the relevant decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

Social Policy Minister Pavlo Rezenko during his speech in the parliament said that this bill for the first time at the state level foresees such category of population as labor migrants.

According to him, the document envisages the rights and social guarantees of external labor migrants and members of their families.
