Sanctions against Russia to remain until Ukraine gets Crimea back – Nuland

Washington to remain sanctions against Russia-occupied Crimea until the peninsula is returned to Ukraine.

US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said this at a Marshall Fund meeting.

“The Crimean sanctions will remain until its [Crimean] occupation lasts,” Nuland said.

At the same time, according to her, the US said that a report on Boeing crash in the east of Ukraine would confirm their position on what and who caused that tragedy.

“We expect the Netherlands to publish the results of the investigation within a week or ten days. We are sure that what State Secretary Kerry said three days after the attack, will be confirmed, in terms of who is responsible for the [attack] and the weapons which were used for this,” Nuland said.
