Russian court upholds Savchenko’s arrest until Jan.16

The Rostov regional court has rejected the defense motion to strike down Nadiya Savchenko’s prolongation of arrest.

Attorney Ilya Novikov has reported on his Twitter.

"All goes according to the plan, prolongation of her detention was left unchanged. A Judge made a mistake while copying hastily from her notes by saying the arrest has been extended for one month (in fact, - for six months - ed.). Predictably, the only person for whom nothing has changed after the hearing - this is Judge Malysheva herself. She risks of becoming non-eligible for foreign travel," Novikov wrote.

As previously reported, consideration of the appeal was held without public presence for some strange reason.
