Windy, rainy weather expected across Ukraine this weekend, with daytime temperatures up to +22°C

Short-term rain showers, local thunderstorms, and wind gusts of up to 20 m/s are expected across Ukraine over the weekend of May 30-31.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center stated this on its website.

"Most regions will experience brief rain showers, while on May 30 some areas in southern and eastern Ukraine may see thunderstorms. Northwesterly winds of 5-10 m/s are expected, with gusts of 15-20 m/s possible in parts of the southwest during the day on May 30. Nighttime temperatures will range from 4°C to 11°C, while daytime temperatures will be 12-19°C. In Zakarpattia and across Ukraine on June 1, temperatures will reach 18-24°C," the weather service said.

Forecasters specified that on Saturday, brief rain showers are expected throughout the country, with isolated thunderstorms in southern and eastern regions during the day. No precipitation is forecast overnight in Zakarpattia and eastern Ukraine.

Winds will be predominantly northwesterly at 5-10 m/s, with gusts reaching 15-20 m/s in some southwestern areas during the day.

Temperatures on Saturday will range from 4°C to 9°C at night and 11°C to 16°C during the day. In western Ukraine, nighttime temperatures will be 8°C to 13°C, while daytime temperatures will reach 17°C to 22°C, and up to 24°C in Zakarpattia.

In Kyiv and the surrounding region, cloudy weather with sunny intervals is expected on Saturday, along with brief rain showers. Northwesterly winds will blow at 5-10 m/s.

In the capital, temperatures will range from 7°C to 9°C at night and 14°C to 16°C during the day. Across the Kyiv region, temperatures will range from 4°C to 9°C at night and 11°C to 16°C during the day.
