Energy workers power up critical infrastructure, begin to restore electricity in Kyiv

Energy workers have supplied power to Kyiv's critical infrastructure.

According to Ukrinform, the DTEK Group stated this on Telegram.

"We are currently restoring electricity to residents. The restoration is taking place in stages. This approach is necessary to avoid overloading the networks and to prevent new accidents," DTEK said, urging people to use electricity sparingly, as this will help restore power to everyone more steadily and quickly.

As Ukrinform previously reported, train service and escalators in the metro were suspended in the capital due to an accident in the energy system.

In addition, water supply is currently unavailable in all districts of Kyiv.
