Sweden intercepts Russian aircraft over Baltic Sea
On Thursday, the Swedish Air Surveillance and Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) system intercepted Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
According to Ukrinform, the Swedish Armed Forces reported this on the social media platform X.
It is noted that on January 22, Swedish military aircraft intercepted two Su-35S fighter jets that were escorting a Tu-22M bomber over the Baltic Sea.
"Sweden conducts round-the-clock air patrols, protecting NATO," the Swedish Armed Forces emphasized.
As Ukrinform previously reported, in late December Poland scrambled fighter jets to intercept a Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the Baltic Sea and also recorded incursions of air balloons from Belarus into its airspace.
