Christmas support for the front line: Ukrainian helicopters donated military equipment and supplies worth over 5 million hryvnia to the armed forces
A few days before Christmas, Aviation Company Ukrainian helicopters held another meeting between its staff and the military.
This time drones, electronic warfare equipment and other equipment were handed over in Kyiv.
Representatives of three military units arrived at the event to receive charitable assistance. Some also came to discuss future cooperation.
According to Oleg Rud, Chief Executive Officer of the aviation company, support for the military remains systematic throughout the year. He recalled that aid is delivered almost every month, and company employees have repeatedly travelled to frontline regions for volunteer work.
"We are well aware that now is not the time to stop. Only when the rear and the front work together does the country have a chance of victory. And this struggle continues," Rud emphasised during the ceremony.
This time, assistance was provided to servicemen of the 112th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Galicia, and the Omega Special Purpose Centre of the National Guard of Ukraine. The units were provided with various types of quadcopters, switching equipment, a satellite communication terminal, and electronic warfare equipment, in accordance with official requests from the unit command.
Artem Revchuk, civil-military cooperation officer at the Omega Special Purpose Centre, noted that such support significantly strengthens the defence capabilities of the units. According to him, modern warfare requires significant resources and technological solutions, and the number of requests from the front line remains very high.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Ukrainian helicopters. It is wonderful that our country has such a socially responsible business that helps the army not with words, but with deeds. Without a strong army, there can be no strong rear. So we are very grateful to you. We hope that together we will defeat this enemy, and it cannot be otherwise," said Revchuk.
According to the airline, just a few days earlier — last week — employees returned from Dnipropetrovsk region, where they delivered a truck with five quad bikes, satellite internet terminals and drone detector for the needs of two more combat units. A video message from the two units that received the quad bikes, tyres, satellite internet terminals and drone detector was shown in the assembly hall.
"The 118th Brigade of the Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would like to thank Volodymyr Volodymyrovych and his team at Ukrainian helicopters on behalf of our soldiers and personnel for supporting us, and I emphasise, not for the first or even the second time. And as friends, as a strong rear, they provide us with things that are absolutely necessary for the performance of combat tasks," said Vyacheslav Sytnyk, logistics officer of the 118th Territorial Defence Brigade named after Ataman Lyuty-Lyutenko, upon receiving the quad bikes.
Sergii Iarovyi, Executive Officer of the aviation company, recalled that volunteer activities actively developed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022. At that time, he and Volodymyr Tkachenko, Chairman of the Board, personally purchased the necessary equipment abroad and delivered it to the military.
According to the company, as of the end of 2025, the Ukrainian helicopters team had already provided assistance to 32 military units for a total amount of over 220 million hryvnias. The aviation company also has two other areas of charity work: supporting veterans and the families of fallen servicemen. Total charity expenses exceed 300 million hryvnias.
