Militants launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas in last day

Russian-backed groups reduced the number of attacks over the past 24 hours, compared to previous days, but they increased using of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

In particular, terrorists used different types of weapons from the village of Kalinovo to launch attacks on Ukrainian positions in Luhansk direction six times.

In Mariupol direction, terrorists used 82mm mortars to shell ATO troops near Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk) and Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol) and used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol).

At 21:00, militants launched attacks from Grad-P Partizan portable rocket launchers on Ukrainian troops near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk).

In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants used mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk).
