Ukrainian, British sailors conduct exercises aboard NATO’s destroyer

Ukrainian and British military sailors conducted joint exercises aboard HMS Duncan destroyer in the port of Odesa.

According to the press center of the Ukrainian Navy command, July 25, Ukrainian and British military sailors conducted joint exercises aboard the destroyer which entered Odesa seaport the day before as part of the Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2).

The SNMG2 ships consisting of the UK Royal Navy destroyer HMS Duncan and the Turkish frigate Yildrim will stay in the port of Odesa on July 24-27.

During the exercises, the sailors shared best practices, familiarized with the algorithm of actions, equipment of colleagues, specific drills. Both sides noted that the joint exercises were of great benefit in terms of improving knowledge and skills and achieving interoperability.
