Russians continue to spread fake information about Ukrainian military

Russian propaganda passed off a bloggers' daily life video as a CIPsO staged video about difficult frontline life

The Kremlin media pool and z-Telegram channels are distributing a video showing a man in a military uniform, who is lying in a trench covered with soil. Then there is a cutting from the video showing the female director and the cameraman.

Propagandists claim that the video was specially shot by the Ukrainian Center for Information and Psychological Operations (CIPsO) to make the viewer feel sympathy for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is a fake. The original video was shot by a family of Ukrainian vloggers from Chernivtsi and was published in July 2023. It tells the story of love between a man on the front line and a woman waiting for him at home. Later, the bloggers posted a video on the SafriFam YouTube channel about how they filmed the video.

For its propaganda, Russian agitprop used the footage about shooting a video, which was edited by fake creators.

Earlier, Russian propaganda made a fake video claiming that Ukraine's losses in the war exceeded one million persons.
