Fan zone of Eurovision 2017 opened in Kyiv

The fan zone of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 on Sofiivska Square in Kyiv opened on Sunday, April 30.

Ukrainian well-known television presenter and actor Serhiy Prytula announced about the opening of the fan zone, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I’m greeting everyone who’ve come today for the opening of the Eurovision fan zone on Sofiivska Square! There will be a lot of concerts in the coming days. Therefore, I wish you a lot of joy and happiness during these two weeks,” Prytula said.

Also, the film about the history of the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine "From Ponomarev to O.Torvald" was shown at the opening of the fan-zone.

Near the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky on Sofiivska Square, 42 flags of foreign states, the Eurovision participants, were installed.  

The fan zone will work every day till May 14 from 10:00 to 22:00. The admission will be free.

The Eurovision fan zone will stage eleven concerts.
