Two killed as ammunition explodes in Dnipro
Two men were killed on Monday in an ammunition explosion on the grounds of a private residence in the city of Dnipro.
According to Ukrinform, the information was reported by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Police on Facebook.
“According to preliminary information, two men sustained fatal injuries as a result of an ammunition explosion. They died at the scene from their injuries,” the statement said.
On Monday, June 8, police received a report of an explosion at a private household in the Novokodatskyi district of Dnipro.
A police investigative team and specialists from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk Region are currently working at the scene.
Law enforcement officers are carrying out a series of initial investigative measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following an inspection of the explosion site and analysis of the collected evidence, the incident will be given a formal legal classification.
As reported by Ukrinform, an explosion occurred on June 8 in an apartment of a multi-story residential building in Odesa, preliminarily identified as involving a hand grenade. A 48-year-old man was injured in that incident.
