Zelensky on explosion in Mykolaiv: Possible terrorist attack

The relevant services are investigating the circumstances of the explosion in Mykolaiv, which occurred at 18:10 on Monday, February 23, on the premises of a gas station; in particular, the version of a terrorist act is being checked.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this on Telegram.

According to him, the first reports from law enforcement regarding the explosion in Mykolaiv have just been received. National Police officers were injured - seven people were wounded, two of them in serious condition. They are receiving the necessary assistance.

"All circumstances are being clarified, including the possibility of a terrorist attack," Zelensky noted.

He instructed the National Police and the Security Service to inform the public about the necessary details.

As Ukrinform previously reported, an explosion occurred at 18:10 on Monday, February 23, on the premises of a non-operational gas station in Mykolaiv. Seven officers of the Patrol Police Department were injured; they had arrived for a shift change and parked their cars there.
