Accident occurs at energy facility in Odesa region, critical infrastructure and some users are without power

Following an accident at an energy facility in the Odesa region, some critical infrastructure and users in the Odesa district remain without power.

According to Ukrinform, Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

“According to DTEK Odesa Power Grid, on the night of February 14, an emergency occurred at the equipment of one of the energy companies. As a result, some critical infrastructure facilities and some consumers in the Odesa district of the region, in particular in the city of Chornomorsk and partly in Odesa, were temporarily left without power,” Kiper wrote.

According to him, specialists are doing everything possible to restore power to every household as quickly as possible. Until the situation stabilizes, critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power using generators.

Water supply in Chornomorsk will proceed as scheduled. In Odesa, in particular in the Kyiv, Prymorskyi, and Khadzhybeiskyi districts of the city, water delivery has been organized.
