On the evening of January 7, 2024, a total of 932 equipment units were involved in snow removal operations to ensure uninterrupted traffic on principal roads across Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by Head of the Ukrainian State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure Mustafa Nayyem on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At the moment, uninterrupted traffic on principal roads is being ensured by 1,046 workers and 932 equipment units. Despite the deteriorating weather, we are making every effort not to impose traffic restrictions,” Nayyev wrote.

He mentioned that the weather conditions are expected to worsen on January 8, 2024. Southern regions are likely to face icy conditions and wet snow build-up. The Odesa region may see wind gusts of 15 to 20 meters per second.

Nayyem urged Ukrainians to be careful and not to drive without an urgent need.
