Russians halt flow of Kalchyk River in temporarily occupied Mariupol

The activities of Russian invaders in the Azov region destroy not only buildings but waterways.

The relevant statement was made by Advisor to Mariupol Mayor Petro Andriushchenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The Kalchyk River. Nearly gone. The ecocide of Mariupol and Ukraine continues. Destroying and halting the rivers is a sort of apotheosis even against the background of the Kakhovka Reservoir,” Andriushchenko wrote.

The photograph shared by Andriushchenko shows how Russian occupiers simply stopped the natural flow of the river.
