222 settlements in the Chernihiv region were left without electricity due to bad weather.

Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Power Administration, wrote about this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As a result of the storm and strong winds, about a hundred power lines were damaged. 222 settlements in the region were left without electricity: The Chernihiv district - 112, the Nizhyn district - 65, the Pryluky district - 3, the Koryukiv district - 42. All available forces and means of Chernihivoblenergo JSC are involved in the restoration work," the statement said.

As reported, environmental damage caused by shelling by the Russian army in the Chernihiv region amounts to more than UAH 18 billion.
